Headstrong was founded by avid cyclists who were disappointed by lights that broke, under performed or just did not work as advertised. Needing to attach lights with duct tape because plastic handle bar clips had broken is not our idea of good design.

Headstrong set out to develop a streamlined system that delivers great performance, ride after ride. We partnered with a master machinist who turned our headlamp design into a masterpiece. Annoyed with chargers that didn't charge, we designed our own specifically for the power packs Headstrong sells. The system was then coupled with a digital controller and connectors that are virtually indestructible.

Many of the first prototypes are still used for 24-hour racing, a testament to the original design and durability. Headstrong continues to innovate and improve the designs on a continuous basis with an unending focus on reliability, ruggedness and performance.
